Downton Abbey star Phyllis Logan is worried she will not find work after the drama ends at Christmas.

The actress, 59, who plays housekeeper Mrs Hughes, said most of the cast were anxious about their futures but hoped the ITV hit would lead to other roles.

Speaking at The Downton Abbey Ball in aid ofyoung homeless charity Centrepoint at London’s Savoy Hotel, Phyllis said: “You just don’t know in this silly old business. You don’t know what’s going to happen.

“I am worried, we all worry about that all the time. It’s a concern. It’s also hopefully going to open up other channels though.”
